Amine Curing Agent

Hardeners, also called hardeners, are substances or mixtures that enhance or control curing reactions. Curing agent is an essential additive. Whether used as adhesive, coating or castable, curing agent should be added, otherwise epoxy resin can not be cured. Resin curing is a process of irreversible change of thermosetting resin through condensation, closed-loop, addition or catalysis and other chemical reactions. Curing is accomplished by adding curing (crosslinking) agent. The kinds of curing agent have great influence on the mechanical properties, heat resistance, water resistance, corrosion resistance and so on.

How to remove the layering line in resin layer casting?
How to remove the layering line in resin layer casting?

To be honest, it is difficult to completely remove layering lines. Because polyester resin is not cured in one go, it is difficult to maintain consistency in all factors. This is like repairing car paint, just trying to be as close as possible, but not completely eliminating color differences. For example, when making a resin river table, some seemingly inexpensive epoxy resin adhesives cannot be poured with a thick layer of resin at once (such as 50mm), because polyester resin can crack due to excessive shrinkage. Usually, the second layer is poured when the first layer of epoxy resin...

What is the thickness of fiberglass mold adhesive coating?
What is the thickness of fiberglass mold adhesive coating?

Generally speaking, it is recommended that the wet film thickness of the mold gel coat be 0.8-1mm, which is most suitable. This is not the actual final thickness of the gel coat, shrinkage and polishing will inevitably remove a certain thickness. Too thin, easy to expose the bottom and reduce the durability of fiberglass molds. Too thick, the gel coat is prone to cracking, increasing micro cracks. Usually, the area of a square mold is measured with 1kg of adhesive coating. It is best to perform the operation in stages (to facilitate bubble elimination), but not absolutely. It should be...

How long does it take for the mold adhesive to solidify properly?
How long does it take for the mold adhesive to solidify properly?

How long does it take for the mold adhesive to solidify properly? Generally speaking, taking the common ethylene based mold adhesive coating as an example, at room temperature of 24 ℃ and with a curing agent addition of 1.5%, the curing time of the mold adhesive coating is about 90 minutes. If you have heating conditions, such as raising it to 60 ℃, the curing time will be shortened to about 45 minutes. Do not deliberately improve the curing speed of the mold adhesive, as this can cause the mold adhesive to become brittle or lead to issues such as pre release. In addition, it is also...
